Holy Lantern has always been one of those holy grail dresses that I did like, but when I saw a replica in this sea blue color, I fell in love. Yes, it is a replica, and I would buy the AP version if they would rerelease it in this specific color way. The color has been my reason to buy the replica.
I bought it from the My-lolita-dress website.
On the dress page it wasn’t quite clear that you could chose from a high waist version (AP’s special set cut, without zippers) and a normal waist version (with zippers). I had trouble figuring this out and Linda wasn’t quite cleare too, so yeah, I didn’t got my first choice cut, but I still like this cut too. I also had trouble with the sizing, they had a XS in the chart but not in the drop down menu, so I had to chose tailor, but it got fixed eventually.
Timeline:
22-07-2015: ordered the dress
23-07-2015: Linda confirmed the sizing with me and asked if I wanted the high waist or normal waist version
26-08-2015: got pictures from the finished dress
27-08-2015: dress got shipped with tracking (that didn’t work)
5-09-2015: received the dress
I ordered with the slower and cheaper shipping option, but it still got to me quite fast.
They also lowered the package value for me. With the dress also came a barrette.
